Synopsis: So, you’ve decided to be an author. Congrats! With an estimated 3,600 books published every day in the United States alone, you must find a way to stand out above the crowd! And as Bette Davis is misquoted as saying, “Fasten your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy ride." But does it have to be? The answer is resounding NO! Whether it’s rejection from a submitted query, inability to lock down publicity for your work, or even the inability to move copies, we’ll look at ways to turn rejection into inspiration and blaze your own trail.

Detail

The good, the bad, and the ugly of traditional publishing verse self-publishing—how to blaze a trail in either realm. Including a glance at rejection from either community. Whether it be in the form of a query letter, press release, email campaign, or blog tour, a hard look at why you/your work is being rejected time and time again. Narrowing the focus—your work has merit, no matter the genre, in our culture and society, but do you know what it is? Are you sure? Are you focused on the wrong aspects, therefore, creating your own rejection? We’ll examine ways to remove failure and craft a YES timeline. Timeliness matters!
